I know it should seem a long way off but - sadly - it doesn't!! Are there any good public firework displays around ED? Peckham Rye? Have lived here for five years and always gone further afield but would be great to stay close.

Always. Good one at brockwell park, though you can hear clapham common being bigger and better in the near distance.

Blackheath is brilliant but a pig to get to - leave well in advance it gets rammed by rail and road.

I read in Southwark Life there is to be a large display in Dulwich Park on the 4th.

If you have children I'd recommend the Sports club on Turney road.

If not Blackheath is good but the ultimate/scariest is in Lewis E.Sussex

Tar barrels at Ottery rocks. I didn't really believe that drunken devon men ran randomly and fiercely around a small market town with burning barrels of tar until I went. And it's SO busy. Scary.

brockwell park was cancelled last year ( spending cuts)- I think Lambeth only did one on Clapham Common.
