SMCC Juniors

Hello again parents of sporty kids,

We now have an average of 9 kids booked in per day to our summer cricket camp. Really pleased with this. I think we're going to end up with somewhere between 15 and 30 kids per day, which will be really ideal numbers for dividing them into groups, working on some cricket skills and playing some really fun games of cricket.

Week 1 now costs the full ?40/day (still great value) but you can still get 10% of Weeks 2-4 if you are quick enough.

Booking for each week closes 7 days before the start of the week.

Details and links to online booking are on our webiste: https://www.smccjuniors.co.uk/smcc-juniors

Only 3 more weeks of school!

Have you planned what your kids will be doing over the holidays?

We now have an average of 11 kids booked in per day to our summer holiday cricket camp, but we still have spaces available on all days for plenty more.

What could be better than spending the day outdoors, in the sun, on a grassy field, learning and playing the endlessly fascinating sport of cricket?

Why not book your kids in now? Bring some friends.

SMCC's junior summer camp now has an average of 13 kids booked in per day.

Looking at the bookings, there will clearly be a enough for at least one group of younger soft-ball players and at least one group of older hard ball players on each day.

I'm estimating that the camp will have an average of 15-20 players per day by the time they start, so kids may well be divided up into more groups on some days.

Our summer camp got great feedback last year and I'm expecting the kids to even more fun this year.

Details and link to online booking/payment system are on our website:

We're now up to an average of 16 kids per day booked into the camp and over 20 kids booked in each day in week 1 - a mixture of our members and players new to the club.

We have a really good line up of (male and female) coaches and support coaches with a coach to player ratio of around 1 to 7 or better.

Week 1 is no longer bookable, but weeks 2-4 are still bookable as before at the link on this page: https://www.smccjuniors.co.uk/smcc-juniors

Great to see so many youngsters getting into and enjoying the brilliant game that is cricket. That's what our club is all about. We're not out to make a profit. It's all for the love of the game!

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
