Spaghetti bolognese, with the bolognese bit straight out of a tin, just heated and poured on to the spaghetti.

Tinned sardines on toast.

Birds trifle mix.

Tinned fruit cocktail with tinned cream.

Boil in the bag 'cod in parsley sauce'.

Cup-a-soup.

Sardine and tomato paste sandwiches.

Frey Bentos steak and kidney pudding.

Jelly with tinned fruit set in to it with 'squirty' cream.

Iceland used to do beefburgers with cheese inside them, I still remember how good they were (I suspect they were nowhere near as good as I 'remember').

Sour milk in a glass bottle that genuinely put me off milk for life (OK, not junk food but had to add as the scars are still there).

Urgh, school milk at break time - warm and slightly on the turn after sitting in the sun since early morning. The reason so many of my generation don't like milk. These days kids all carry water bottles at school but back then you just went without or ducked your head under the tap.

Tinned ravioli. No texture whatsoever when I tried it again in a fit of nostalgia a couple of years ago.

Heinz tomato soup. Although I make my own soup all the time, this is still the one for when I'm poorly. Maybe with Ritz biscuits.

another shout for butterscotch angel delight here! Tried some quite recently and it was vile. My mum always bought a pack of Mr Kipling cakes when she did her weekly shop - usually fondant fancies. Ate them really slowly to make them last. I still really like Mr Kipling cherry bakewells (minus the glace cherry) and almond slices.

Didn't really eat much processed savoury food that I can remember.

Alas no. I don't think that was a thing in the 80s! The stuff just came in a sort of sachet, I don't think there was a carton.

Snap again. Super mousses (supermi?). Really nasty things. After we got our first microwave, my mum would defrost them in the microwave... at best they'd turn out warm and runny on the outside and frozen in the middle. At worst they'd go all rubbery and gross.
