Grandparents club

Hi

My daughter suggested I post on EDF about my idea for a grandparents club, so here goes...

Im sure Im not the only grandparent in ED and surrounding areas that cares for their grandchild while mummy and daddy work?

I havent come across any groups for grandparents and would either love to join one or start one. Please let me know if you are interested.

I imagine a meet up once a week to take the kids to the park, play dates or to soft play ... Have a coffee and a chat that sort of thing!

Really hope to meet other people in the area!

Definitely interested -I am sure my lovely mother in law would like to meet other grandparents when our one arrives next year - and it would give me a couple of hours off! Great idea.

My mother who looks after our 3 year old every other Thursday would definitely be interested in meeting other grandparents. If you get enough responses perhaps we could set up an email group to line things up?

Bessemer Grange Childrens Centre had a Grandparents slot...great because it comes with the toyroom!

I think I'm looking at the latest timetable and it says 10 - 12 on a Wednesday - Grandparents Stay and Play.

I noticed a leaflet in Elm Lodge Surgery (2 burbage road) arranging meetups for grandparents caring for grandchildren. I'm not sure if its attached to the surgery, but if you live close you could pop in and ask about it.
