givemecake
Wondered if anyone has a clue how long the waiting list is or how to successfully go about it? I've called the number on the Southwalk Council's website (under the 'Street Trading' section) but I can never get through. I've emailed them four times and have never got a response. The one time I did get through on the phone I was told someone would call me back, but they never did...I understand that the council may be oversubscribed for the market but I'm starting to get a little bit annoyed that I'm being so blatantly ignored...Any ideas who I could speak to about this??? DulwichFox
I think it is a question of Who you know and not What you Know.. the-e-dealer
you just ask Southwark Council. The implications of Dulwichfox's post are typical. James Barber
Last time I was the waiting list was 40.But the Market has been increased from 20 to 30 stalls. In theory that should have led to a reduction in the waiting list but I suspect it will have increased interest.I'm really sorry that you've called and emailed and had no response. I you forward me those emails i'll ask the manager concerned what is going on. I you can roughly recall when you called I'll also what's going on with that. Clearly not acceptable to publish phone numbers and emails addresses and then not pickup or respond - on behalf of the council please accept my apologies.
