mightyroar
White witch looks good.but if you decide on Trinity from Matrix I have the coat and shades if you PM me I might be able to sort you out.Or a really flattering one I think is Cleopatra. Loads of eye makeup, glam hair and some kind of posh dress will do it. hoipolloi
wow thanks to you all, some great suggestions. Am tempted to go with Buffy as requires not too much effort - maybe a blonde wig and a stake are all that's necessary? I haven't actually seen it but quick google suggests she just wears her own clothes to slay the vampires - am I right? Actually will be a bit disappointed if no cape involved, fancy swishing around in one. And I am LOVING Velma's look but I think that Bob is right... Rolo Tomasi
Actually you can go as Velma Hoipolloi. Not all superheroes are superpowered. Batman, Green lantern, Green Arrow to name but a few use wepaons and intelligence to combat crime. *Bob*
From memory, Velma's contribution to crime fighting was limited to losing her glasses and spending the entire show groping around for them (to the sound of canned laughter) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1933-superheroesvillains/page/2/#findComment-55323 Share on other sites
downsouth
Superheroes superheroes. One of my passions as a youngster. For me you can't get much better than Jean Grey/Phoenix from the X-Men.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6a/Jeangre.png Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1933-superheroesvillains/page/2/#findComment-55361 Share on other sites

Basically yes, although when she went out for a slaying session, she'd tend to wear her leather jacket. Black hipsters seem popular too... God I miss that show ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1933-superheroesvillains/page/2/#findComment-55610 Share on other sites
Peckhamgatecrasher
How about an Old Testament heroine? A pair of sandals and a cast off curtain would do for the lovely Jael:"Most blessed of women be Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, of tent-dwelling women most blessed. He asked water and she gave him milk, she brought him curds in a lordly bowl. She put her hand to the tent peg and her right hand to the workmen's mallet; she struck Sisera a blow, she crushed his head, she shattered and pierced his temple. He sank, he fell, he lay still at her feet; at her feet he sank, he fell; where he sank, there he fell dead." mightyroar
Velma is the brains of the whole outfit. Without her powers of the deduction all the monsters would still be at large.True, the glasses losing does come up on more than one occasion. But all superhero types have a flaw.
