SEGirl
HiAs winter is just around the corner, (still hoping for an Indian summer though!) I'm thinking about getting a footmuff for the LO who is 21 months. We currently have a Bugaboo Bee (the old style) When he was very mini we originally had the Bugaboo Cocoon, but instead of forking out on another expensive bugaboo footmuff, can anyone recomend another option that will work just as well? Or am I just as well to use a warm blanket?!?Many thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19315-footmuff-to-get-one-or-not/ Share on other sites
womanofdulwich
i think foot muffs are really good for storing bits and bobs- blankets often fall off/ get caught in the wheels. crystal7
We have a John Lewis black and grey feece footmuff, fits Maclaren Quest well, think I've seen them on Bugaboos. It cost ?15. There's also a red fleece one with white stars which is bigger maybe. snowboarder
Personally I think they are good and have always had one on various buggies/prams....however toddlers and muddy shoes and their general attitude (!) seems to mean it's more tricky to accommodate older ones than babies - and some footmuffs are quite small so if your little boy is tall you might have to be careful.Good in the rain/snow though as some degree of waterproof protection too... chantelle
i think they're fab and crucial for infants but not sure about 21 months. Ours got a bit filthy from muddy wellies and whanot last winter, though of course they are wonderful for warmth. MichelleT
I have the John Lewis footmuff, which fits fine on the Bee. I am wondering about mud now he's walking... SEGirl
Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at the John Lewis one, which sounds good. Although muddy feet are making me think twice about getting one. I guess for ?15 it's not exactly breaking the bank!! ClareC
The Buggie snuggled are expensive but do solve the muddy boot problem. We have 2, one for my 4 mth old and one for my 19mth old, very cosy and warm. Def prefer Buggie snuggle to blanket! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19315-footmuff-to-get-one-or-not/#findComment-471133 Share on other sites
Ruth_Baldock
SE girl- we have a blue fleece one w/ polka dots which fitted our old style bee just fine- you're welcome to have it if you like- it doesn't fit the double buggy. Sigh.On a personal note, huge apologies for not emailing you back many months ago. I'm a bit crap when pregnant- must make sure that doesn't happen again!!!
