corbella
I am fairly new to the area and although I am a non practicing catholic I would like my daughter to be baptised Roman Catholic. Can anyone recommend any RC churches or where I could get information on RC churches in E Dulwich and/or the surrounding areas? Thank you!! dollydaydream
Welcome Corbella to the Dulwich Forum and East Dulwich.Next to Dulwich Library is St. Thomas More RC church Fr. Gerry Mulvihill is the priest, there is another in Peckham I thinks it's called St. James or there is another RC church in Nunhead (the name escapes me). Yak
The diocese website http://www.rcsouthwark.co.uk/ has a directory of local churches and their websites. Be aware though that some churches will require you to be an active member (i.e. by attending for a period of time) before baptising your little one. Good luck! Bonfire2010
Can recommend St Thomas More on Lordship Lane (as mentioned by dollydaydream). We had our son baptised there in June. We did (and still do) attend the church regularly though and I think this would be a pre-requisite. Would be worth having a chat to Father Gerry though.
