Before posting in this section, please read!

Ladies and gents,

Over the past few weeks I've become increasingly frustrated at how many breaches of the very simple rules of this section there have been. These are the things I see most often which you need to be aware of before posting in this section:

1. Bumping posts. This is happening daily, hourly, every minute (that's what it feels like). This includes constantly changing the price of your items, adding smiley faces, the words "still available" etc. Don't do it.

2. Listing lots of items for sale on many individual posts - if you are selling more than a couple of items please list them all in one post, otherwise the board gets clogged up and it's not fair on others.

3. Do not repetitively post about your services offered, especially childcare, your account will be deactivated if you do.

4. Do not post the same advert in more than on section of the forum

Please understand that the role of moderator is a voluntary one - I do it alongside working and looking after my own children, so would appreciate it if people could be mindful of the rules and stick to them to avoid me tediously having to remove the same things every day.

Many thanks, and rant over!

  • 1 month later...

I just wanted to add that sometimes I don't get a chance to send private messages to people when I remove posts - I always have good intentions to do it later that day, but life often gets in the way.

In particular, if you have posted something for sale, and it has disappeared - chances are it's because you have already got other items advertised. Please, if you are listing multiple items for sale do it on a single post.

Many thanks, it has been much better in recent weeks, and it's much appreciated.
