Lost Parrot (Rosella Parakeet)

Hi.

This Rosella Parakeet turned up in our garden this morning and was quite tame. It sat on a window ledge for while but we weren't able to bring him in. Has anyone lost him as we are concerned he may not last long in the wild.

I saw a notice in Brockwell Park by the car park last week saying 'lost Parrot'. I'm sorry I didn't read it but might be worth taking a look there if you are passing in case the description matches.

Thanks. We are on Kirkdale but possible it is related. Does anyone live near Brockwell Park who could perhaps post the number?

There was a guy on Underhill road who had a similar parrot to that - always used to see him outside his front door with it

Sadly not, we can see he?s wearing a tag but have searched Facebook and forums (including the links above, thanks Angelina) but no one seems to have reported one missing.

We?ve called the RSPB but they only deal with wild birds, and RSCPA won?t do anything unless it?s injured or we can capture it - we?ve tried enticing it into the house but so far no luck!
