david_carnell
Sue - don't feed the troll. He's being a twat. My vote is for an austerity Xmas. Bicycle powered lights and all presents wrapped in newspaper. That sort of thing. DulwichFox
I worked in Telecoms. There were many Indian guys/girls there that would bring in wonderful food during Diwali for everone to enjoy. There were some Muslim people that would attend prayers on Friday. None of these people were offended by Christmas. They certainly took the Christmas leave if not on Rota. The local Indian Muslims have Christmas Trees in the Local Indian restaurants.. I do not think Chrstmas offens many people. Just Looney Councilors seem to think so. Or do they?? Fox. maxxi
I must confess to a preference for the old-style Xmas lights that glowed rather than sparkled, the kind that were opaque when not lit (looking like a bulb painted with nail varnish) and when lit they glowed like jewels and were of rich, deep colours - lights to look at rather than to be dazzled by.
