Dondee
Does anyone else find the amount of pushchairs taking up the children?s part of the library extremely annoying? Surely it?s time to try & find an alternative to stepping over hundreds of bugaboos with babies & toddlers. I left today with my two 2 year olds, as we couldn?t even enjoy a simple visit. I appreciate people have to take the prams but isn?t there somewhere outside that could be used as a buggy area? Something like the one at the butterfly house in the Horniman. It?s so annoying, and unsafe! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/192037-dulwich-library-or-buggy-park/ Share on other sites
siousxiesue
Please report the unsafe practice direct to the staff, surely if they can see it's dangerous they will have to take action! Pugwash
Why not mention this to the senior librarian - perhaps they will have a designated section for buggies etc. Or if you child is not sleeping, prams/buggies need to be folded. Buggies etc were a problem in the Bread of Life Caf? (Christ Church) so they had a separate area set aside for the prams. DollyDee
My elderly mother has often mentioned the pushchairs to me. She says they are in the way. I've not been there so don't know myself. Robert Poste's Child
It's good news in a way as it's a sign of how popular the children's events are. They don't have a dedicated area but I know the staff do their best to corale them into the far corner behind the lift. Agree best to have a word with staff next time you're in and perhaps use one of their feedback forms to suggest setting up a covered space outside. Lynne
It gets very crowded at the Grove Vale library too, but I don't see there's anywhere else for the buggies to go Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/192037-dulwich-library-or-buggy-park/#findComment-1247308 Share on other sites
