Matt is a British singer-songwriter and musician, who came to prominence as one of the founder members of indie-folk band Noah and the Whale. Alongside his professional career and following the birth of his daughter he is taking time out to enjoy family time in his local area. Matt teaches pupils of all ages from his studio in East Dulwich and has over ten years teaching experience. He is also DBS checked and has experience teaching in larger groups as well as individual lessons.

A note from Matt:

One of the key things I endorse is learning music through the songs and styles that you want to play. I teach students of all ages and abilities from my home studio in East Dulwich where I have a range of instruments including a Bechstein piano and I always tailor my teaching to the strengths and preferences of the individual. ?I often find with my younger pupils, the introduction of a wider choice of instruments really retains their attention and gives them a much broader outlook to music in general.

The most important thing for me is that you enjoy your lessons. I want you to leave with a heightened understanding, feeling inspired and passionate about your playing.
