This whole thread is a diversion from a serious matter of great importance to East Dulwich.

Katie1997 has hinted at it, and I will now write as much as I dare.

[1] Several years ago someone wrote on the East Dulwich Forum about an underground river that runs underneath Barry Road from The Plough to Peckham Rye Common.

[2] Only a few days ago someone wrote in that other place about an underground river near Stuart Road.

[3] Southwark Council has not explained why it keeps the sluice gates in Peckham Rye Park locked, or the interesting timetable and reasons for their temporary openings.

Katie97 I hope it's ok for me to comment: "Let's hear what, er, UDT has to say, eh, 'New' Nexus?",

Don't you think there are others hurling personal insults?

Don't you think it's strange you only perceive insults when it's someone who has different views to you.

"As it happens, I don't understand the financial crisis much and rather than joining a specific forum for finance professionals (eg experts), I thought that I'd join the East Dulwich Forum in the hope that someone whose knowledge I could trust would join up thus enlightening me in all manner of financial crisis matters (and the collapse of civilisation as we know it)".

Please tell me is the "collapse of civilisation as we know it", bracketed because you feel the people who

are enlightening you have covered the changes you believe will come?

John K, I'm afraid you misunderstand my post, I wasn't 'hinting' at anything of the sort. I have no idea about what you refer to above, nor are any of my posts on this thread related to it. The Nessie thing (if that's what you're thinking of) was meant to be light-hearted and jovial and no ulterior meaning whatsoever.

TE44 - no, I don't think its strange as the reason I 'perceived' an insult was due to the following from udt "I doubt katie etc has the mental capacity to understand ...blah, blah etc'. So that's definitely not a case of me 'perceiving' an insult. That WAS a personal insult, irrespective of whether I agree with udt or not.

Now did I ever say that others weren't hurling personal insults? But its interesting that you didn't pick up on the unprovoked personal insult towards others on this thread (perhaps than those whose views you possibly agree with?)

No. Short but hopefully succinct answer for you as I'm in the middle of cooking Sunday lunch.

Ok, Hugo, I said that I'd get some links that show past, known disgusting behaviour by the US government to show why it is reasonable not to trust them.

Here are two to be getting on with:

US deliberately giving syphilis to asylum patients in the name of science.

And on their own citizens this also.

And tragic and a crime against humanity. Slightly different scale wouldn't you say? Unless you're claiming that this was also a precursor to destroying the planet and putting in place the New World Order?

Sorry, no, of course you wouldn't say. ;-)

This is not a bash at Americans,

Americans have lost control of America

Katie97 I found your post "Let's hear what, er, UDT has to say, eh, 'New' Nexus?" insulting, as far as I can

remember your postings have in a funny juvenile way been based around paranoia. I don't mind a laugh, but I

feel your above posts are a pisstake, when someone wants to give there understanding of your wit, you can't

hear it. But nice to see you appreciate the nessie post.

No New Nexus, that's just a great example of where you are misrepresenting the facts to generate fear and panic.

Neither of the first two tests were of harmful bacteria, and it's necessary to investigate to the possible effects of the release of harmful bacteria in this way. The final one is just an attack on a rather shameful clinical test, not quite on the scale of the syphilis experiment.

Do you recognize that the essence of your complaint is that the US government did not give the public the full picture, when you deliberately attempt to disguise the full picture from the readers of this forum?

I'm interested if you plan to apologize for the children that died in the UK after the outrageous MMA scare distributed by conspiracy theorists scared mothers into failing to vaccinate their children?

No, I thought not.

You talk about America having lost control (as if it's now), and then cite two examples almost half a century ago and one two decades ago.

Must try harder.

I do not remember posting about MMA, maybe you could expand on this accusation or is this one of your, guilt by association - that you are so readily happy to thro at people.

TE44 - fair enough if you found that post of mine insulting, however, it was in response to Nexus' remarks. I don't think anyone takes kindly to unprovoked, personal insults such as the one referring to whether I have the mental capacity to understand something or not.

Oh, I do hear it. Loud and clear. And by the way, whilst I appreciate you are entitled to your opinion, I find your remarks insulting too.

Sorry, MMR, not MMA. Typo

The usual scare story circulated by bullshitters looking for attention. In this case claiming that the MMR vaccine caused autism and it was only being distributed to save the government money.

Dead kids and permanent disfigurements created by the conspiracy theory shitheads.

OK, MMR where did I post about this?

Potty mouth.

I'm sorry LD, but none of these are on a par with claiming that the government killed 3,000 of its own citizens to bag some cash and hide some documents.

And let's not forget that 911 is being used as an example to prove that there is a New World Order out there determine to bankrupt the world and starve and enslave the citizens.

Rendition - nothing to do with it at all. That's the intelligence services in a time of war.

Not saying it's not bad - just saying it has nothing to do with the premise of this thread.

I'm just putting up blatant cases of disgusting behaviour by our governments which they have lied about.

I'm not really into the New World Order thing, because I don't think they are smart enough to control everything to that extent, but I would be surprised if they didn't have long term plans on how to best protect their interests to the detriment of all us little folk.

If that involved killing a few thousand people to introduce draconian laws then I don't think they'd be too worried, after all the loss of life in Afghanistan and Iraq is not something they are overly concerned about. However, I am not sure the evidence that happened is clear. It's hard to make sense of what actually happened because there is a lot of contradictory 'evidence' about. So I'm staying neutral on that until something more substantial turns up.

Well, let's be clear, there is no evidence at all that it was a conspiracy. There is enormous amounts of evidence that it wasn't.

If you're still sitting On the fence it's because you want to, not because there's a problem with the evidence.

That's like me saying I'm on the fence about Jupiter being made by mice out of playdoh.

    • There's been a spate of phone snatching around East Dulwich station and along Lordship Lane. But don't let that put you off the area, these things come and go. I've never had an issue late at night in the areas you talk about and I've been around here for 18yrs (before I moved I had the same concerns as you). Go visit your areas late at night at different times for your own peace of mind (I did)
    • Posted September 20, 202Hello all Hello all Just a quick message to say I've just had a job postponed so I have some time available to do some work for you if you should need a painter around the end of the month. I also do a variety of other jobs too so if anyone needs a handyman, please feel free to get in touch. Happy to do a free quote. Thanks for reading
    • So sorry to hear this. Our bike was stolen from outside Dulwich Library earlier this month. We had a D Lock and they still got through. Probably the same person who’s just cruising up and down the lane. I hope you find it.
    • Hi, I would like to raise some awareness around East Dulwich especially on Lordship lane.  Today my bike electric bike was stolen from in front of my house between the hours of 9:00 and 10:45. If anyone see anything I would be very grateful.  Please do not use a chain lock to lock your bike. Preferably a d-lock. My bike was double locked with two chains and they still manage to take it. Be careful and be aware of Thief.  Here are some pictures of my bike. If you see or hear anything I would really appreciate it.
