Are you allowed to have BBQs in Brockwell Park?

With a sunny Bank Holiday on the horizon, Does anyone if you're allowed disposable BBQs in Brockwell Park? Thanks

Think not unless the byelaws have changed; when I lived in Lambeth there was a blanket ban on barbeques in all Lambeth parks.

There?s a dedicated area in Burgess Park, if I recall correctly.

I appreciate that?s not Brockwell, though it?s a great park to spend a hot day in; gets pretty busy though.

Going through the park today I noticed a sign near the main cafe saying no barbecues in this area, but I saw at least three barbecues in more open areas, so maybe it depends where you put it?

BBQs allowed at Crystal Palace Park. A lot less busy than Burgess. Their signs just ask for you to keep them elevated and dispose of your rubbish.

You can hardly see for all the smoke in Burgess on a sunny day around the dedicated BBQ areas, It was wafting cross the road from the park towards the Tescos on the old Kent road one hot day last year as I went past the car (where probably most of the food and charcoal came from ..keerrrrching!):)
