Childminder paid leave - what?s the norm?

Hi, can anyone share, whether you?re a parent or childminder or both ;) what?s common practice in SE London re paying for childminder holiday? Mine is asking for 4 weeks paid leave with only 2 weeks notice.

What does your contract say? You should have signed one. Did you sign up for term time only?

As a self employed person, childminders are entitled to at least 4 weeks pay holiday pay. Whether they charge half fee or full fee it should be made clear in a contract at the start.

The 2 week notice thing is a bit odd though as 4 weeks holiday in a year isn't a lot.
