Please god someone tell me they grow out of this!?! Lex spends most of her time grunting, snuffling and farting like a trooper. In the day? Quite hilarious. At night? Not so much. She wakes my husband and myself up and now even wakes herself up (and is really p*?&ed off when she wakes up, it's not MY fault! Jeez!)

she is also loud enough/our Walls thin enough that she wakes up her poor brother.

Yawn.

It's times like this I wish we had a 3bdr house instead of just 2! I'd move her in with Seb but that's cruel and unusual punishment for him, I reckon.

She does sound like a farmyard! Ha! She's a bit "piggy" anyway- my sister said she looked like a raw Walls pork sausage- all pink and fat. Poor baby, we love her really...

I have used it a few times, including last night (also elevated her cot to an angle a bit). She was okay till 5am until the epic "I need to burp/fart RIGHT NOW" noises started. No amount of burping her or cycling her legs about to encourage this helped. My husband says she has heart shaped nostrils, very cute, would explain a lot too...
Ha yes baby f sounded like a farmyard too... Even an elephant at moments! We had to move him out of our room for our own sanity but if you don't have another room... Perhaps ear plugs? Pillow on the head(yours(!)) is quite a good sound muffler too... Nothing worse than being awake at night because they are so loud!!

Yes, the 5am agricultural noises do pass eventually. We used to do a GTU = a Grunty Top-up feed at 5am to help the yaklet poo. It took his mind off trying to get the poo out & was certainly better than listening to the otherwise endless dawn chorus. He grew out of it after a few weeks.

Could you pop her on the landing outside your room, to shield you from hearing every single grunt & groan? Or would she be more likely to disturb Seb there?

I'm thinking ear plugs, I used to wear them when Seb went through his own noisy phase- could hear him crying but no other noises which worked perfectly. Husband says he can still hear everything through ear plugs- I say too bad, he's not breastfeeding round the clock.

    • maybe u should speak to some of the kids parents who are constantly mugged who can’t get a police officer to investigate and tell them to stick to gb news, such a childish righteousness comment for your self  All jokes aside there is young kids constantly getting mugged in our area, there is masked bike riders going around armed with knife’s, all I’m saying is police resources could be better used, police wont use there resources to respond to car theft but will happily knock on someone’s door for hurtful comments on the internet which should have us all thinking 🤔
    • I recommend you stick to GB News following that last comment.  Hate crime is still a crime.  We all think that we know best.
