Friernlocal
Last Wednesday morning whilst walking to work at 7:00am I spotted this very amusing art installation. By the time I came home it had gone. Thank heavens for mobile phone cameras! i*Rate
Friernlocal,I saw it around midday on Wednesday and took some photos which I've sent off to a Street Art website in New York. They have'nt used it so far; maybe it's not as amazing as some of the stuff that they carry from all around the world.Well worth having a regular look at the site if you're interested; www.woostercollective.comCheers. mrs cuckoo
Ha! I saw it too as it's opposite my house. I thought it was someone chucking out their junk and admired the way they had creatively arranged it. Oh, and I helped myself to some kids books too, which I assume was ok as there was a couple of guys and a rubbish collection truck hovering to take it away. Have often wondered if we could collectively organise one day a year where people can put out good quality unwanted items for others to reuse. Frankito
What a great idea, would prefer once a month though as would be fun.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19015-art-installation-in-sylvester-road/#findComment-465726 Share on other sites

I have a friend with a love of discarded furniture, from an artistic view point so there will be rich pickings! I've already snapped a few around ED, and have passed on Frienlocal's pic (hope you don't mind - I've not claimed the credit!)Will also make sure, if this goes ahead, that I'm not moving house on that day.... mynamehere
I completely agree to putting out collectively at designated places and dates. Once a month is good. Nothing should be in skips that might be of interest to someone: Doors stacked to the side and so forth. Tarot
In Some streets in Greenwich there is a system working where people can leave read books or little things they dont want so anyone can take them, and they put a little label on saying free recycle me,Something like this was going on in E.D a few years ago.
