Just a quick one, not really adding to the post but bit bored. I took my newborn in her pushchair to the park and a boisterous staffie bounded up to us and launched headfirst into the pushchair, front paws up on the edge and head lunging into the hood. Now I really like dogs and wish I had space for one but that is another story. In my new mum haze it didn't really bother me what had happened but then when I think back it could have been pretty horrendous with grizzly teeth so close to her head.

Parks are public places and everyone has a right to use them but I suppose if you have a particularly energetic dog (even if it is just friendly and enthusiastic) it might be an idea to be cautious around young children, granted that is hard in Dulwich as they are everywhere you turn. i want to encourage my daughter to had a good relationship with all animals so will not be keeping her away but I would be upset if the same thing happened again.

I also blame Bugaboo for making the bee such a stupidly low lying pushchair, perfect dog head height!

Yes, Sexby Garden is ok for dogs - i have specifically checked as mine loves to jump in the fountain when it's hot.

Can i suggest to the original poster that perhaps getting to know a little dog belonging to a friend or neighbour might help? Just in terms of understanding dog body-language so you recognise happy-puppy for what it is, and hungry-savage-wolf for what it is too? Just an idea; it can't be nice to be so terrified of them.

Senor the only stat of Frankito's that is of concern to me is that they feel it appropriate to broadcast the fact that they

" only do DP at the weekends "

And not in the sexby gardens I hope, especially not if I have just had my ball chewed and am wondering around with a forlorn plastic bat.

Must be horrible to be so fearful of what are - 99.9% of the time -such friendly, well-behaved, fun, obedient creatures. They're not called Man's Best Friend for nothing. My gardener was petrified of them - until she made friends with her sister's puppy. Now she likes them. Maybe one day she'll get one, but she's not reduced to tears any time she sees one any more. Progress, no?

Perhaps you need to do something to overcome your fear - I did with flying, can't stop me know!

    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
