Once again Wayne Rooney has proved what a petulant little shit he can be. He can be a great player at times but last night he was very poor. Just goes to show he still hasn't matured and is easy to wind up in these big game competitions. Wonder if his dad had a bet on him being sent off.

There seems to have been a bug in the system that merged two discussions together, "Single Guys in ED" and "Football Focus", as Football focus was the largest (by about 250 pages!) this has become the main thread.

Sorry about that.

I missed this at the time it was posted, but I think I'm right in saying Mertesacker protested immediately.

Spain (like Barcelona) play some beautiful football - almost redefining the game... but at 3-1 ahead against Scotland they still, when suffering a minor foul, go down and roll as though savaged by a rabid dog (like Barcelona). This means I am constantly struggling between admiration and repugnance.

Admirugnance?

Repugmiration?..It's frustrating, as they just don't need to resort to those tactics, I guess it's cultural.

Obviously their technique and movement with the ball is second to none, but it's their pressing game when they haven't got the ball that impresses me the most, Scotland could hardly get out of their own half with the ball, yet hardly pressed Spain in their own half, allowing them to pass it out from defence to midfield effortlessly.

    • Apart from being yet another eyesore in our lovely park the track is going to be 5 metres wide, that’s wider than my living room! By the time this is installed it will be too late for people to object. This must be rethought, even more of our park is being given over to GALA. The council didn’t factor in HGV access when they planned the flood alleviation works and now they expect park goers to suffer further. Complaints might help, worth a try but needs to be before the consultation ends on Feb 10th
    • It is absolutely real, I walked past the site, complete with car and trashed wall, at about 2pm this afternoon.
    • Oh ok, I'm even more confused now then. Have you seen the discussion on the dangerous driving thread?
    • Sue - I promise you that was no fake photo, not sure that I'm even capable to that.  I took the picture about 12:15 today.
