Blah, blah blah. Water under the bridge. Cesc'll be doing the same to your lot soon enough. :)

Two nailed on penalties last night, I can't see what Rangers would have ot complain about. You can't raise your foot like that, end of story.

Difference is I and many others would tell him exactly what we think of him, unlike the Mancs, we are not as forgiving or blinkered. I've not forgiven him for all the shit he came out with last summer and he can get on his bike anytime he likes. Rooney may be bigger than your club but nobody is bigger than ours.

I'm amused that Spurs suddenly think they are a world force after having an ok start to the season, and Arsenal fans who are above Spurs, who have lost a few games believe that we are on the edge of a precipice staring into oblivion. It shows what the two sets of fans are used to and tell you a lot about expectations of the fans of both clubs. Admittedly we haven't won the league since 2004 or the FA cup since 2005. But we all know when Spurs last won the league don't we? B)

Something gives me the impression that Rooney will be off in the summer. United have played a blinder here, because if he does go they'll get their money back (and then some). This will then finance some of the debt, however all the manc fans will be pissed off at Wayne for being disloyal and forget that he was only sold to line the Glazer's pockets further.

Wayne "once a blue always a blue" Rooney disloyal????????? Surely not

Does anyone care if England don't get the WC in 2018? I think it's a disgrace that they haven't had it for so long but once again FIFA members bartering means they are likely to lose out. What's worse is that because Panorama are doing an expose on FIFA on Monday night, the BBC are being called disloyal to the cause. FIFA doesn't like it's dirty washing being aired in public and this will be held against England. It seems to me the only way anyone gets the WC is by buying it in one form or another, a game England quite rightly doesn't want to play.
Euro '96 does bring back great memories, and I think it would be nice to have it here. Hopefully by then, we'll have a team that I want to cheer again, as I've lost interest in England, which saddens me. It's not because they're rubbish, I can live with that, so long as they go down fighting. It's the fact that they are a very very unlikable bunch of tossers who don't give two hoots about the 3 lions!

Germany '96, and Argentina '98 are the two that spring to my mind.

Oh, and the nil-nil play off with Italy to qualify for '98.

So basically Sven took the heart out of the lions, and it's not grown back since. A shame that players like Gerrard, Rooney, and the Chelsea scum, will never be remembered for doing anything great at International level.

Okay, so we haven't won anything in several generations, but you still think of Owen, Shearer, Sheringham, Gazza, Liniker, Beckham, and many more, as having had great International careers.

We were on this the other day, and I agree I think we are in the 2nd division of International teams but we used to be involved in some of the best games at most tournaments (Argentina/Poland '86, Camerron/Germany 90, Argentina '98 - just examples in the World Cup) long gone now, just boring grinded results and wimp out exits in the Knockouts.

Is it just rose tinted glasses though? I suspect supporters of most national teams would say their teams were involved in some of the most exciting games of major tournaments since those are the ones they remember.

Unless you support Italy of course. In which case you'll have never seen an exciting match in your life.

I'm beyond caring given FIFAs horrendous curruption. The bottom line is if journalists are going to cost their country the World Cup for being so brazen as to seek out and report corruption I'd arther that than silence and getting it. Of cousres it's a pity, we've brilliant grounds and fans (and many from most competitors live here), It'd be a carnival event and sold out. But no doubt Spain'll get it...again,

Well said, couldn't agree more.

    • Seriously though, I hope nobody was harmed in the making of that, because they must have veered right across the road before crashing, and only just avoided the tree. They must have been going pretty fast. Asleep at the wheel? Medical issue? Drunk? Young or stupid people messing about with a stolen car? (Apologies to young people, I know most of you aren't reckless). It was lucky they didn't hit something going in the opposite direction ( at least, I assume/hope they didn't) before they went over the wall. But I'm confused, because the broken part of the wall is in front of the car. Did they reverse in an attempt to get the car off the wall, and then made things worse? 😮
    • Oh, so that's what 'off street parking' means.
