SeanMacGabhann
The fact that we had just a clear onside decision flagged as off in the first half, and the keane scores from an onside position rankles somewhatFabianski tho ? that experiment has to stop. As well as wrists made out of coat hanger wire his reactions to the Bentley miss was horrific to seeBentley btw ? a textbook case for all young English players about what happens I fyou believe your own hype. Emerson Crane
Given the overall dominance enjoyed by Arsenal, Mr Redknapp can have no complaints about the result. Perhaps he has taken a leaf out of Mr Fergusons book in the respect of being a bad loser, but at least he talks to the BBC. Jah Lush
Hmmm...the referee was shit. Is he a Gooner or what? Both penalties looked a bit harsh to me especially the first one from where I was sitting in the West Stand and they effectively killed us off. Arsenal put out a more experienced team than ours but I'll accept the defeat. I think Arsenal having not won anything for a long time would like some silverware and good luck to them in the Carling Cup.One positive I take from the match is the performance of Sandro. He looks a top player and I think we've got ourselves a bargain there. Narnia
Is there such a thing as a good loser? I find Ferguson usually quite gracious/honest in defeat and more likely to blame his own team than anything/body else. Emerson Crane
I'm sure mr Wenger reciprocates and wishes mr Redknapp in his quest to win th title for the first time in 50 years. I can't help but think the recent clamour to appoint mr Redknapp as the next England manager. His record at Southampton, Portsmouth, and West Ham leave a lot to be desired, that and accustaions of dodgy dealings are not ideal, not by a long way. Jah Lush
Jeez! Another fecking Gooner. I'll admit the best team won last night and your boy Wiltshire is looking good too but leave our 'Arry alone. We like him. Emerson Crane
Well I suppose someone has to, I felt for the lad who was pictured crying as his team were been given a lesson in fotballing skills. If his dad had any heart at all, he should have told him this is what usually happens when they meet better opposition. Bentley again demonstrated why Arsenal got shot of him. It is interseting that you accuse the ref of being biased, especially as he did not card the first 4 hacks at Wilshere. God help us if he refs us against Blackburn or Bolton. Emerson Crane
Well said what? Ferguson a gracious loser is like saying Anne Widdecombe is a looker, both statements are erroneous and well wide of the mark. Annasfield
I?m not going to take the bait, but I can?t tell you how tempting it is to trawl youtube for clips of Mr Ferguson being "gracious" in defeat. Narnia
Well I would say that as he has grown older he has become quite gracious in defeat. This was not meant to be bait Anna just my observation of him. If you're just blinkered in your view of him then so be it. I bet you'd have liked him to be your manager over the last 20 years. Jah Lush
Being a bad loser is partly what makes someone a winner in my book. It gives them that drive to succeed. Most successful managers over the years have been terrible losers. Ferguson and Wenger are perfect examples of winging moaners, blaming referees and whatnot. They're bad losers but have a quick look in their trophy cabinets. Not exactly bare are they? Keef
Well Wenger's has been for a while, and Hughs & Big Sam are 2 very very bad losers, and they haven't won much.So you'd rather have a nice chappie in charge and finish mid table each season than a so called 'nasty bastard' who wins you the league? No, I never said that.If I was a United fan *shudders*, I'd obviouslt hold Fergie in very very high regard, and be chuffed with all he'd won. BUT, I don't think I'd be completely comfortable with the man, and his behaviour, because he's a coont (to quote ratty).Sh!t like the "hairdryer", in my book is not the way anyone should be treating their players. If you're happy winning in that way, good on ya, but I think it stinks. Sandperson
I think it's also a little unfair to call someone like Ferguson a nasty bastard. I'm pretty sure if you asked most people involved in football on a day to day basis they would say he's a pretty good man. He does a lot for football in general and he is pretty supportive of other managers and players. Annasfield
Why is it that whenever an observation is made about personnel at Manchester United, people get all defensive and instead of providing examples to justify why they feel that observation is incorrect we result to "well he's better than your manager" type arguments? Mr Ferguson being gracious in defeat has nothing at all to do with any other team. Narnia
Well what do you want Keef? Presumably you'd like to win something.Would you care what happened in the dressing room if your team won the league and played good football? Man U have done that for years now and it's down to Ferguson. He gets the best out of his players most of the time. There are not many ex Man U players who have complained about him. There are quite a few who have become managers themselves. It's also been noted on many occasion that Fergie is often the first one on the phone to a manager who has been sacked. People could say that he only won what he did in England because of Man U's money but that doesn't explain how he managed to win so much with a club like Aberdeen in Scotland. United fans are without doubt the most sensitive of creatures who are easily offended and find it necessary to defend even the slightest critiicism, it borders on paranoia.
