I don't see why he should be laughing (a little smile maybe;-))...Man. U are more than capable of giving those teams a run for their money (in my most biased opinion).

It's a bit of a shame really that Inter and Barcelona are in the same half of the draw, surely it is time for UEFA to mess about with the CL one more time and seed teams from QF to Final (e.g. such as in Tennis). It's almost like a dead rubber now having a French team in the semi final whilst the only real semi final of interest is likely to be Barca v Inter.

This wouldn't surprise me. And judging from Fergie's comments about Rafa today he has clearly bumped his head.

Disagree, I'd like to see all seeding, avoidance of country clashes etc removed. The magic of the Cup and all that!

I'm not going to the game Anna (LUHG and all that) but have read stories that Utd and 'pool fans might have some sort of joint protest about their respective American 'owners', personally can't see it happening but any news about this from the other end of the East Lancs Road?

SOS have been in discussions with the FSF about joint protests with several clubs, but never with just United and Liverpool. One comment about Munich or Hillsborough and there would be carnage.

We did a joint protest with Pompey the other night though, but it seemed to be missed in the press. Some pics here

We tend to get shouted down by some of our fans when we protest as they seem to be blinkered to our financial problems. I imagine that when Torres is sold to fund our debt they may well open their eyes.

That said SOS has only been around for a couple of years, so to have as many members as we do, we are doing quite well.

The only way United and Liverpool fans will march shoulder to shoulder is if the country is invaded by alien forces ;-)

Agree about Ferguson throwing his toys out of the pram. Yes Gerrard should have got a ban but the Ref dealt with it on the pitch (if wrongly) which means the FA cannot then act. I doubt any of the hacks who cover the press conference would have the bottle to mention that but there we are.

As for the game, Liverpool have built up enough confidence this week to give United a very good game Sunday even if they did play last night so may be a little tired. My only real concern as is usual with a trip to OT is who is the Ref...

I have lots of soft spots Mr Mockney!

    • Hi I am looking to join some local businesses networking events and wondering if anyone can recommend any. I know there used to be one (Cooking with Scissors) but that’s not running any more. Thanks.
    • Eats Dulwich has just reviewed Arapina, including its hot chocolate!  I assume they read the original first and  very long post on this thread before almost all of it was removed. Interesting to have another opinion!
    • I see you have just reviewed Arapina's  hot chocolate 🤣
    • HA! If only . . . The other night I took the 37 from Herne Hill to Goose Green, only it was diverted via Denmark Hill. That would have been ok, except when the driver reached the junction for Denmark Hill she wasn't allowed to turn right as there were road works on Dog Kennel Hill starting at 8pm and all buses were being diverted via Camberwell Church St and Rye Lane.  I got off there at Kings College Hospital, as I figured it was closer to home than Peckham . . .  Still good for my step count I suppose.
