Yes you numpty, but I've never said we were gonna win the league have I? Plank.

Atila you do make me laugh with your paranoid responses but I made no such claim.. I was responding to your apparent earlier rejection of Arsenal not being too physically weak. The only person, as far as I'm aware, to predict Arsenal as Champions has been Mick.

Your inferrence that we are a physically weak team because Gibbs may have broken his foot is, as I said before, bollocks. Does that mean Pool are a bunch of nancy boys because Torres & Gerrard have been injured??? Give me strength, I don't know what basis you have for such a bollocks statement. You'll be telling us next that Bolton play attacking football with flair and Panache and thats about as believable as Pool being "Foist" in the division.

Rumour has it Gibbs may have broken his foot tripping up over one of Fabregas's high heels...

Anderson-son-son

He's better than Kleberson;

Anderson son son

Our midfield magician;

To the left, to the right,

Do the samba dance tonight,

he is class with the brass,

And he shits on Fabregas!!!

You're an eveN bigger prick than I had you down for in the first place. Shits on Fabregas eh? He's not worth the steam off his piss.

Has teh France v Ireland thread been buggered up by Matt's embedded link? I can't read my reply on 2 seperate browsers

To answer quids questions on that thread

1) I'm inclined to believe most as makes no difference

2) Of course it doesn't mean it's ok

3) I think that rule isn't needed as it's pretty much what happens anyway - witness the jostling and pulling that goes on for every corner kick, or diving, etc etc. That still doesn't make it ok and I share your idealism to try and get rid

But at no point did I say "don't worry eveyone is at it" - what I said was "before everyone piles into Henry, let's be aware that he isn't some rogue figure here"

I believe the case is strong enough to warrant a replay btw - I think FIFA sanctioned one back in 2005 after a qualifier had some ridiculous referee decision, but I expect them to be rather quieter on this one

You and silly bollocks Red DEvil must be close friends you numbnuts. How does an injury equate to being weak? So Gerrard & Torres must be softer than poo after a night out on the piss and good vindaloo to follow. Just stick to the shortcomings of your sad team old chap and we'll get along just fine, alternatively keep spouting bollocks and you'll get the same responses.

It's all about consistency. Yes young kids should be taught to be honest, but unfortunaetly this isn't always the case. I've involved with youth football for the best part of 12 years, and while it is true that many youth team manager will try to instill the fair play ethic in to their teams, their are just as many who want their kids to win at all costs. This includes cheating, aggressive and foul play. Regrettably this is not always picked up and addressed by the referee who quite frankly has a thankless task.

The higher the level of football the greater the desire to win at all costs, because of the huge financial rewards. I don't like it at all and don't condone it. I would venture to suggest that all the teams we support have been conned and cvheated out of result at some point, so I don't think any of us can claim a monopoly on righteous indignation. I would love to see all forms of cheating, gamesmanship, call it what you will, disappear completely. But I have no real solution to offer.

What bugs me about last night, is that Henry admitted to his handball after the game, but then said it was up to the ref to act. That is basically saying "if you can get one over on the ref, it's okay". Have never looked at Henry as a particularly dishonest player, but that attitude sucks, and he should be better than that.

Yes a ref is there to ref a game, but it would be nice to believe that these players who are paid stupid money, and who kids idolise, might play an honest game.

It's very naive of anyone to honestly think ANY player of any race, colour or creed would own up in such circumstances. Unless football becomes a sport again and not a huge money making business, I'm afraid I have little hope of Football ever being rid of dishonest behaviour.
Keef's example of Fowler telling the ref he didn't deserve a penalty. Wenger offering a replay of the FA cup game. Only a week or so ago Bobby Zamora telling the ref that Carragher got the ball. It does happen and it should be encouraged and applauded. I just can't see how a footballer like Henry can look at himself in the mirror this morning.

Well Matthew, his cult status was confirmed after his first game against 'pool at Anfield when he had Gerrard in his back pocket...;-)

Di Canio catching a ball when he had an open goal as the Everton Keeper was injured. There's plenty of examples of decent behaviour.

Cheating should always be called cheating and not be accepted - idealistic? Maybe but I'm not going to stand up for Henry's blatant bit of cheating on any grounds becuse within the laws of the game it's is illegal and he is a cheat.
