No.....the indigo rule. If someone doesn't reach the 75% participation mark they don't count. Ask RD.

Yup, agree 100%. Sold it down the river years ago. + money/europe.

As a kid in the 70s this was THE sporting highlight of the year for millions and I used to watch from first thing in the morning until the cup had been paraded round Wembley then a mass game of football afterwards, all my mates, family, all supporters, even old grannies used to watch it. Sound like an old git but I'm not sure many under say 35 really understand what it used to be like. I think someone famous from the great early 70s Liverpool team once said, "I've a bunch of Championship medals, i've a European cup medal but I'd trade them all in for an FA Cup winners medal"...can't imagine that now!

the FA just get better, don't they? Brilliantly and effortlessly devaluing their own crown jewel. I want to be sat in front of the telly, a mix of rancheros and ringos to hand, watching the coaches go to Wemberlee but no. Another part of my sporting love given over to idiocy.

I'm all about Wigan today. Just sorry that it just isn't quite what it should be.

Having lost the 78 final to Ipswich I could barely keep still for the 79 final

2 nil up at half time I vividly remember walking down to the beach for a breather an basking in likely glory

Second half... 5 mins left. And then they scored two. I felt physically ill. Genuinely not metaphorically. Then Sunderland not only score the winner but visibly swore on TV. The release...

Then we go and lose the next one in 1980. Can't remember who to

    • We have been patients at Sternhall Lane for years. Our experience has generally been incredibly positive with speedy responses and very helpful staff. We are generally fortunate to get a same day appointment should we really need one either at Sternhall Lane or at Tessa Jowell and any necessary referalls have been swift.
    • @Alice if left might have been stolen/taken by someone (peed on by a dog or fox), also there are some little things attached of - I assume - sentimental value. I hope the owner can claim them. Will leave a note indeed with info how to retrieve them, though not with a private phone number in a public space 😅 Maybe a friend of a friend will come across this post on EDF.  @embob97 They do have a ring, sorry.
    • Agree but not so great for the independently owned cafes shops etc.
    • My husband goes to the newish one near the Watchpolisher on Lordship Lane.(sorry cant remember name-) I can assure you they're not 'fake'  He started going there because his excellent long-term barber had to rent a chair there when the shop he used to work from in Forest Hill closed. I think one needs to be careful when making statements like that above as it can damage reputable buisnesses. Also I should add the Barbers I mention always seems to be busy
