Indeedy, in hindsight it should've only been worth 3 pts.

SC, if someone forgets to post their predictions (illness/holiday etc) they get an automatic 5 pts score. It was meant as an incentive for those who did miss a week or two to keep on playing i.e. they didn't fall too far behind and give up. It also meant late comers could join in and still have a half decent chance.

At the time it was introduced it was a score that was just below the average weekly score, the intention being that there wouldn't be a benefit for gamesmanship i.e. deliberately not making predictions (last weekend being an exception).

It was given the nickname maxxi because that was maxxi's average score at the time.

If we do this again next season the maxxi will be revisited, it might even get abolished if we have a good turn out on the opening weekend...

Damn! Should have forgotten to do it this week. 1 point from guessing as opposed to 5 from Maxxi-ing!!

It's the fourth and final set of Champions League games this week.

Late Late Latecomers still have a good chance to qualify for the knock-out stage...

For the quarter final draw there are no numbered balls, so the 8 teams that qualify will be placed alphabetically and given the numbers 1-8 e.g. AC Milan = No. 1...Schalke No. 8. The top 8 players will then be allocated their corresponding team, e.g. 1st = AC Milan...8th = Schalke. So if in the actual CL draw, Milan play Schalke, the player who finished top will go head to head with the player who finished eighth, and so on...

Nevermind, you came top in the League last week, and should qualify from the Champions League unless you do a Man Utd and get the 2nd half wobbles...

      Dulwich Society says: "In the 1980s Southwark Council incurred further considerable expenditure on 'Belair', particularly in repainting the exterior. Unfortunately, in the 1990s Southwark Council closed up the building, pleading lack of funds, and in its boarded-up and vandalised state it became an eyesore. Happily, in 1997 the Council leased out the building and after impressive and extensive restoration by the new owner, Gary Cady, it opened as a restaurant, with the second floor converted into a private flat." And yet the Hot N Juicy seafood place across the South Circular is busy all the time, in the same location where the sad Indian restaurant that used to be there faltered. Not sure if "passing trade" is that important to specialty restaurants.

      Well, well, well! Pretty disappointing and tacky. I have some sympathy for Tesla owners but although he has shown his colours now, Elon was always a tosser.  I have always been sad and frustrated by Belair House, and I wish someone could get a grip and market it successfully as a good redto and bar. As the earlier comment said it is a beautiful building in a great location, albeit a bit shabby here and there. Over the years we have eaten and had drinks there but the last time was about 5 years ago and we haven't been back since after a cockroach crawled up my arm as I waited at the bar for my pint...
