And each time Vidic has been sent off.

Depends on how Liverpool approach the game to whether this is another win. I expect United to play their usual rushing game in the final third to unsettle the Liverpool back 4 marshalled by Sergeant Carragher. I think if Liverpool try to play a game of containment they will lose by 2 or 3 goals but if they take the initiative I think Liverpool have too much power in midfield if they cut loose for United to stop the Reds chalking up another victory.

Howard Webb is the Ref, and his track record at OT is far from convincing but let us hope he has a fair game.

I think that might be due to the whisky he consumes!

Sandperson

My post was said tongue in cheek. I don't think comments on paedephilia are warranted - no matter who you are talking about. And I am certainly not taking on the mantel of Atila.

Ladymuck is a friend and neighbour and I am sure she has not taken offence over my post.

Oh dear...time to say something...

Just to confirm...Ladygooner, no offence whatsoever was taken...I realised (knowing you and your fabulous sense of humour as I do!) you were joking.

Presumably (the lovely) Sandperson doesn't know you, and I suspect was simply watching my back - which was nice too. (Us Red Devils need to stick together...;-)).

xx

Well, I was offended. I don't care whether LM was or not.

If it's tongue in cheek then fair enough but just as you don't like the comments about Wenger and all the paedophile guff (which, if you read my post properly I was using as an example of being outdated and ridiculous) I don't like the alcholism comments.

    • I haven't used the RHS online shop, however to the best of my knowledge none of the RHS gardens such as Wisley have a nursery (though they may sell plants there) , so whatever plants the RHS are selling will be grown elsewhere. It might be worth trying to find out where they get their retail plants from (it could be several different places, eg one for perennials, one for shrubs) and then googling reviews of those nurseries. I may be wrong, but I'm  not convinced that buying from the RHS necessarily ensures a good plant. I once bought a perennial wallflower (Bowles Mauve) from Kew (not RHS, but you would expect good quality)  which looked fine when I bought it, but didn't last long. I don't think it was due to my neglect, but who knows. It was in a large pot by my front door, where it got a lot of sun, so I have no idea what went wrong. Thanks for the recommendation for Croxted Road. I wonder if they can suggest some plants which I can put in the area  under my bird feeders to deter the wood pigeons, who have transformed a large part of my very small garden into bare earth, and destroyed some treasured plants which I had had for years. Btw I'm sure you know this, but be very careful with Euphorbias. If you get any sap on your skin and it is exposed to sunlight, you will get an absolutely massive blister. I speak from past experience 😭
    • Thanks ianr. That's an interesting book! I see it says side effects are more common after the second dose of Moderna (page 13). I would have booked my jab for another week if I'd known. Kicking myself now. I wonder why this sort of thing isn't more widely publicised. I suppose partly for cost reasons and partly because they don't want to put people off having the jab.
    • It's useful to see these recommendations for local gardening centres. Wondering if anyone has used the RHS online plant shop, and if you'd recommend that?    Currently trying to choose some new plants for our small garden!  I got some good euphorbia from Croxted Road the other day. I had asked for them a previous week, and they said they'd put some aside for me when they got some in. They did and gave me a call. It seemed a good service with friendly staff.
    • Good morning! Just posting on the off-chance anyone has any free planters/troughs (raised or otherwise) with plenty of life in them for a school project in Croydon?  I could collect locally. Also thinking about making a small wildlife pond there and would love a free old Belfast sink if anyone knows where I can get one, but I know that’s a big ask! Thanks in advance.
