You can also look on IMDB - all films have a parents guide, though this one doesn't have a lot of detail as it's so new. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4154756/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg - kind of depends on your kids and how they react to violence in particular.

My teenage daughter has seen it with a group of friends. There are several superhero deaths, these are not gruesome, but may affect your children if they are fans of the superheroes. I would therefore suggest it's probably geared up to older children, ie of secondary age.

Just saw it. Was surprised at the level and number of torture scenes. My kids were fine as a bit older but had I known I would not have taken the younger one. I know I?ll sound like an old fogey but I?m sure it would have been an 18 when I was a kid.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Just to say I ended up letting my 9 year old go as lots of his best friends (& dads were going on Saturday).

My judgement suggested it might not be suitable, but I knew he wanted to see it... however I was proved right - he found it too scary and left the cinema. Now at least he?ll understand why movies have a rating and might be deterred in future.

Lesson learned all round, but if you?re unsure as a parent, trust your instinct :)
