Participants required for research - Tuesdays and Thursdays - Denmark Hill

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My name is Martin, and I'm a research assistant at Kings College. I'm currently recruiting 10 volunteers (3 female and 7 male) aged 18-60 for a study looking at different patterns of brain activity between people who meditate and people who don't. Right now I'm looking for control participants (i.e. people who DON'T meditate) to take part. You only need to be right handed, available for a couple of hours on either a Tuesday or a Thursday and able to get to Denmark Hill, though unfortunately due to the equipment we use I cannot test people with dreadlocks or afro hairstyles, sorry!

The study involves the use of EEG, a completely non-invasive and painless procedure that allows us to record brain activity through the scalp. It involves wearing a cap with some electrodes attached to it and the application of a small amount of gel (which can easily be washed out).

If you are interested in helping out with scientific research (and also seeing what your brain looks like when it is thinking!) or would like to know more please get in touch either by replying to this post, or emailing me at [email protected]. To sweeten the deal I can also compensate you ?15 for your time.

Thanks!

Martin

    • Nikolay & team were fantastic from start to finish - really responsive, easy communication, explained what they would do and delivered on it, and crucially delivered high-quality work. We bought a house with very tired floorboards that had been covered up by carpet for a very (very) long time, with cracked floorboards, and big gaps between some of them - just generally dirty and grim-looking. Within 7 working days for three rooms, a corridor, and an entire staircase, the floor was sanded, some floorboards replaced, gaps filled in, and finished to a great colour and feel. We hesitated a long time between restoring the floor or just covering it up again with a new floor, but really glad we went down this route and found a great team to take care of it. It was also a very reasonable price for the amount of work done - would have been a nightmare to do ourselves without the right kit etc at the start, so glad we spent this money. I would highly recommend NN Floor Sanding based on my experience with them.
