StraferJack
Who liked the Facebook page "supporting the London met police" in the last few days? Who wouldn't support that cause? But you might want to think twice before associating yourself with the views of the guy behind ithttp://bit.ly/r61IKj Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18953-are-you-one-of-the-million-facebook-london-met-support-page/ Share on other sites

Brendan
Does this have something to do with the worryingly racist lyrics in a similarly named GnR song? Loz
Considering the ones he didn't disassociate himself from, how was was the *Junglebook* tweet? First I've heard of it.Interestingly, one of the White Supremacist groups was posting furiously on the group page on Monday night. At the time I just assumed they were making the most of an open thread with lots of passing people... Loz
Well, more:c) the positive sentiment behind the page is still greater than the furore over it's creator, so currently staying on there, but may change my mind at any time. katie1997
I must admit I have recently been considering withdrawing my support for the Marmite page. david_carnell
Do you jerk your knee?Do you jump on bandwagons?Do you mindlessly follow crowds without stopping for one moment to consider what you're doing?Do you have overly simplistic answers to incredibly complex problems? Then you need a Facebook petition. Rick Channing
As undeniably inflammatory as the account holder's comments were, I don't think you can justify all the scorn being poured on Cameron from the left-wing media. He has to make some decisions and allegiances that, with the benefit of hindsight, aren't as informed as he would've preferred, and will occasionally backfire on him. I suppose you could draw a reasonably sound parallel with Manchester Metropolitan, Teesside, Liverpool John Moores, Glamorgan and Queen Margaret (Edinburgh) universities entering into sponsorship agreements with the brutal and oppresive regime in Libya. The negative coverage has also backfired on them, too. *Bob*
'Supporting the Met' now requires no more effort than 'preferring a sausage roll to Cheryl Cole'. Depressing to see political leaders grasping this sort of trite drivel, as if it meant something. MrBen
I now visit my rather lame Facebook page about three times a year and it's going to die very soon. Strangely, I found I started actively disliking lots of people whom I actually like and respect in real life. You can be too connected. It's days are numbered. And if you are an EDF hipster you really have no excuses. It's evil.
