EDmummy
ED appears in a feature in tonight's London Lite about living in London "villages". No mention of Dulwich Village - Ha! Sadly our only celebrity residents are two who don't technically live in ED - Jo Brand and James Nesbitt. There goes the neighbourhood! Domitianus
The contemptible cult of celebrity rears its sorry head again. Who gives a d**n whether JN or JB lives in ED or not? Is there really anyone who is such a sad, fickle, wannabe that they would actually choose a location to live in based upon its so-called celebrity inhabitants??? This really does make me wanna barf! lozzyloz
Do you really think people would choose to live in ED based on perceived celebrity inhabitants? There are a few low level celebrities that choose to live here based on other factors but REAL celebrities like DM live in West Dulwich. Brendan
I do think that using ?London Lite? and ?press? in the same statement is a bit of a long shot. mockney piers
I met one of the girls who write London Lite at a BBQ this summer. She is one of two.Says it all really. Lovely girl as it happens, but what can you do. Brendan
Can?t be helped MP. I like to think I?m an honest guy and you should read some of the twaddle I produce sometimes. A friend of mine audits the circulation figures for papers and I?ve watched him pull his hair out over the last year trying to deal with the explosion of unmonitorable (is that a word) free papers. Nero
On the one hand, they might be giving news, of a sort, to people who might not usually read a paper. On the other, they are cheap tat that end up on the floors of buses and blowing down the streets. rob
I believe that if you so much as glance at a free newspaper your opinon on anything is immediately void. Buy a real newspaper or read a book. mockney piers
the crossword is ok on the london paper, other than that it is essentially heat magazine.Agree with Nero about the litter too. EDmummy
Rob, I do buy a "real newspaper" every day but also pick up a free paper just to catch up on what the uneducated little people are reading! I think the opinions of anyone who would like to "void" another person's opnion simply because of what they chose to read should be void.
