Absolutely, I fear the youths of today faces a bleak future. I wouldn't blame labour for this as some of their policies were about social inclusion. Can't say that about the Tories though.

How?

I think there's a link between stock markets crashing and kids rioting in London. Its heard behavior. There's some sort of zeitgeisty bubble bursting. Its like a big stampede of hoodie cows, or stock market trader cows, running us off the cliff for no logical reason any of us can really get hold of. I just hope I can get out of the way.
I live on Lordship Lane - but decided to leave my flat as soon as the trouble started. I'm staying with my parents in Cambridgeshire right now. Can anyone tell me what the current situation on Lordship Lane is? I am seriously worried about my flat (northern end of Lordship Lane). Thanks.

Extraordinary. Why did you leave?

Cuts to EMA will not affect the poor. Tuition fees haven't kicked in and have been woefully misreported - kids think they have to write a cheque for ?9,000 to go to university. And lack of employment opportunities has been the case for years.

13 years of Labour's social inclusion policies clearly have not succeeded.

EMA? We have to pay these scum to go to education?

Fees increase? Despite Blairs mad ideas - it's not a god given right to go to Uni.

Employment? Maybe...however I have spoken with my Dad tonight. He's been unemployed for 3 years and yet can't quite see the justification to steal and burn other peoples property. He's strange like that.

@WJFOX

Lordship Lane is quiet at the moment. No trouble or damage at the northern end.
