Otta
Hello, the time has come for us to get a proper bed for my daughter. Anyone got any recommendations for a decent, yet not mega expensive bed?Thinking IKEA / Argos type thing, but happy to hear other suggestions. Also happy to hear about things to avoid because they'll fall apart in a month.Cheers. ladywotlunches
We got a malmo bed from ikea. It's quite low, with a wide frame round the edge, so falling out situations have been minimal! helena handbasket
We did this:Ikea Hemnes d[pre][/pre]aybedLove love love it. It's great for bedtime snuggles, pulls into a double if you need it, and has loads of storage in the drawers underneath. We have a bedrail as my son tends to roll out of bed, but that actually makes it even cozier. Otta
That does look great, and would do it if in our own place (and buing all ou own furniture), but I'm in the market for something mor basic to be honest. ladywotlunches
Sorry it's actually called malm - here's a link to a White one but we have it in a wood veneer. Perhaps they only do them in the store: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S89897981 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18803-kids-bed-any-recommendations/#findComment-461050 Share on other sites
Grotty
we've been looking into this too and are thinking about this:http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80120579its supposed to be the slide out bed under a single bed but would work on its own and you can obviously buy it on its own - cheap (?65)and low down which is handy for a first-time bed...
