david_carnell
Despite not being a fan of the genre in general I always turn to hard-rock/metal for best intros. Just massive, loud, guitar riffs.Black Sabbath - ParanoidBeatie Boys - No Sleep Till BrooklynAC/DC - Back in Blacketc etcBut also a soft spot for soul and the horn sections you'd get opening Motown or Stax numbers.Sam and Dave - Hold on I'm Coming Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18713-best-intro-in-music-history/#findComment-458931 Share on other sites

taper
DavidGood calls. Sabbath have many great intros, but Supernaut is possibly the greatest. Whole lotta Rosie for Acdc I reckon.Try also Accept's Fast As A Shark for the birth of Speed metal. And Motorhead's Overkill live for the birth of thrash. Or back to Sabbath that might have been Symptom of the universe, another soul darkeningly good intro.Heavy makes me happy, metal makes me mean.....
