Hey! Can you recommend a great local holiday club or activity suitable for a four year old for the summer holidays? (The onset of the Easter holidays has really motivated me to start looking for a holiday club for part of the summer, : ) We?re based in Brockley and ideally looking for a morning or afternoon or short session rather than a full day.

These are what I have found online - would love feedback if you?ve tried them:

Southwark Gymnastics

Jolly Foresters

Pointer School holiday club in Blackheath.

Thanks everyone!

My son has been to Southwark gymnastics a few times and enjoys it, but he already attends lessons so knows some of the people which helps, for him anyway. You can book into their lessons in holidays which run 10-12, and add on pre or post lesson holiday club with other activities.

The other one is Nimble Arts which run in Horniman and Heber schools. My son enjoyed that. Although not a frequent one as a bit pricey, but they do set up a lot of activities.

There are usually several summer holiday schemes in LB Lewisham. They don't appear to be on their website yet, so I would suggest checking on their website nearer the time. Here is a link to Southwark

There is only a few of the activities on there at the moment.

    • We have just got Eddie back for the second time! Great a clearing weeds, lopping bushes, etc. Reasonably priced at £16 per hour. You can contact him on +44 7742 044722
    • Agreed, the skate park should remain, especially with all the work those involved have put in to get it up, running and maintaining that enthusiasm.
    • Southwark is closing youth centres day centres they’re not going to spend millions on opening a new community space. What that area needs is a good supermarket. The nearest one is Sainsbury’s in Forest Hill. someone else may well know of the mechanism where a council can make a compulsory purchase. So the supermarket underneath with three or four stories of social housing long top built in the same style as the Dulwich estate.Next door.
    • I'd also like to recommend Paul! His colleague Damien did a super quick and neat job sorting out a kitchen socket for us which had stopped working. Paul is very easy to communicate with and it's great to know there is a reliable and skilled electrician in the local area. His number is 07802627967
