Hi E.D.

I am reasonably new to the area and am putting together a business plan for opening a lap-dancing and massage club - preferrably along Lordship Lane or Grove Vale.

How do you feel about this? With ED's young and progressive demographic do you think it would be well supported and accepted by the majority?

Please let me have your feedback. It would be very much appreciated whether it's good or bad .

I'll keep my opinions about whether or not I agree to myself, but I do question your business model.

ED is mostly families so I cant imagine there is much of a demand for lapdancing club in ED. I think you would probably end up out of business pretty quickly.

However the more I type the more I question why I am responding, this is obvioulsy a wind up...like anyone would come to ED and think "I know whats missing... a lapdancing club!"

Also you better be sure not to take any of the buildings earmarked for a "potential" waitrose or M&S simply food, that would really wind up the forum ;-)

I'm guessing wind-up targeted at the tattoo thread to see if anyone is going to renounce a "who is anyone to say what type of business should open" position

Also Villager has been registered on the forum for nearly 4 years - they have a pretty fair idea of what the local population are like

I'm not surprised. It's a fun day out for all the family.

"Mummy, mummy - can I go play ping-pong with that lady?"

> Also, offering pole dancing exercise sessions for the ED Mums in the mornings would be good PR.

The LL video shop had a boxload of new copies of the Spearmint Rhino Art of Exotic Dancing (in six chapters) in their closing-down sale. If you didn't get yourself a copy then, I have one available for hire.

    • I’d like to recommend local plumber - James at Trelco Plumbing. I’ve used them twice now, for a kitchen tap replacement and a boiler repair. Both times they were able to attend at short notice, arrived on time and we are very happy with the work they have done. James is polite, responsive and easy to deal with. • Deptford Green and Elm Green anecdotally have a more realistic and compassionate to kids differing needs. Whether that is still the case i'm not sure. Having 3 boys at Charter i would seriously consider a boys school if you have them, Charter East really aren't geared up for the different educational needs of some boys and the challenging behaviour this frustration leads to. I have heard amazing things about St Thomas the Apostle boys school.
    • Thanks everyone for the great recommendations! I wouldn't normally go for vegan restaurants, but I've been to En Root and really liked it. Fresh and tasty.  The Ritzy Cinema in Brixton also sell their food, to eat in their cafe before or after a film (I don't think they sell the whole menu that you'd find in Peckham, but there is a good choice)
