We?ve switched to the nitrate free bacon and it tastes great, it?s more expensive but less water seems to come off it when cooked would be good if William rose started selling it

Also St David?s! Sorry it?s in se23

It?s top quality white bread with LOADS of almost deep fried, thick, chrispy, streaky bacon. Possible slightly mapled.

I can never finish one and take the second half home for the old man.

Their hot chocolate is also good but not as good as gales.

NO!!!!!!

Why are Small White Elephant closing? I've only just discovered their yummy food!

As per usual you paint the world in your day-glo colours and assume everything is the same.

Like all meat products - indeed like all food products - anything rammed with chemicals and additives will be appalling for you, and most bacon sold in the U.K. is pretty bad and certainly should not be eaten.

Proper bacon is nothing more than pork cured with salt and possibly some whole spices, maybe maple or treacle if you?re trying to be fancy. Nothing else. It?s like any decent form of charcuterie, and pretty easy to find.

Educate yourself mate.

Noooo! That's heartbreaking news. It's my favourite of all the coffee shops around. And the coconut toast is to good for words. :(

Uncle you obviously live a joyless life (Copyright Daily Mail 2019).

Perhaps its just me, but when I waited 12 hours in Kings A and E with a heart attack  the thought that I'm lucky to have an NHS wasn't much comfort at 3.00am in a hard plastic chair. Sorry, Vladi, try to remember your argument next time your train's cancelled or you wait 12 hours in A and E. Sometimes complaint is the only way to effect change.
    • That because I work in transport.  As I work in transport I know quite a lot about it.  Not everything.  But a lot.  And I know people who can also tell me what is going on.  And I have this massive resource of information at my finger tips.  Called the internet.  So I try to base my views on real information rather than perception.  Rather than what somebody told me down the pub, or on X, or on Nextdoor.com, or someone interviewed in the street by the BBC, or the Daily Mail, or UnHerd.com, or a Jeremy Vine programme.  I can't comment on LBC and only once spent five minutes on GB news.  And I don't automatically believe everything in the Guardian, Radio 4 comedy, Have I Got News for You or Led by Donkeys even if the politics often aligns with mine It's just lazy to go straight to the stereo types about national and local government, and insulting to label most public and civil servants viewing them as biased, incompetent or ignorant (and the 'I know better'). And with the opportunity to ask questions through the official channels why so many instantaneously resort to social media rather than trying probing themselves.
    • As well as the above, has anyone else noticed the massive amounts of gum being spat out all over as well as marking pavements? This is not only disgusting as gum will be laced with human germs and saliva but also places a large cleaning cost on already stretched services. Why do humans insist on spitting out gum onto the pavements? Why can't they dispose of it in a bin or take it home?
