Ooooh, shush Ricky - don't let the workers hear you.

Offal is the only good honest food - meat (as in muscle) was only for rich kids, not good honest toilers.

These are all offal:

Faggots (liver and cheek)

Black Pudding (blood)

Pork Pie (feet)

Tripe (guts)

Steak and Kidney Pie

Luncehon Meat (Tongue)

Liver

Brawn (pigs head)

Haggis (liver, heart and lungs)

When you meat eaters actually think about what you are eating, does it not put you off just a teeny weeny bit?

Reading the above makes me so glad I'm veggie.

it is well konwn that vegeterians are sicker more often and not abel to do a full days work it is not natutal to eat to mkany vegetebles is it not the eec who have to sell their veg mountians to persons and so the goverments promote the lies of 5 a day and fruit jouses for lazy farmers in france

Are you saying that vegetarians are not as fanciable as meat eaters?

Do we look different or something?

Interesting comment, because if you do a bit of research, you will find that eating meat is actually bad for you.

So if you go for a veggie partner, chances are, they will live longer!

A disproportionate number of vegetarians that I know look a little anaemic. It's not a criticism, just saying like.

Unfortunately by dint of their restricted diet, veggies do need to be slightly over fastidious, which isn't very attractive.

I have the same slightly lowered attraction for my friends of various faiths here in Singers who have arbitrarily imposed dietary restrictions.

So yeah, I guess, not as fanciable. :(

So veggies live longer, with uglier partners. Not much of a consolation for missing-out on meat is it.

If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat ?

Yes of course they are Tom, but there's laws against eating people, I think from memory the term coined for the pastime was 'cannibalism', I'm not sure what the law against it is called though I'm sure some bright spark here will have time to find the details on WWW.

I haven't seen any laws saying don't eat (non-human) meat, though clearly if you get in charge things may change rapidly, so I'll be practicing making nut roast leading up to Christmas, just in case.

If I did take your point literally, I don't think it'd go down well in court if I try to justify taking someone's leg and roasting it for tea by arguing, "..well it IS meat, sir" !

Tops.

I wonder if we'd get 20 pages of comment on these boards if Franklins was serving human flesh ?

Probably 5-6 pages I reckon.

True, but most humans are meat-eaters, and so would not be good to eat.

In case of a plane crash in a remote area, always eat the vegetarians first. Then, the airline meals.
