The reason why the coverage of the English floods this year, as harrowing as they may have been for the residents of those areas, was as per usual disproportionate. Now if we had one of these I could understand the apocalyptic shrill made by the red tops: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7071666.stm

Unfortunately happens with all the time. If it doesn't affect people, they don't hear about it. The only reason it get's so much coverage in the States is because hurricanes are such big news after Katrina & it might make landfall there. The US media didn't have much about Gonu.


Whenever the storms would bounce off of Florida & head into the Atlantic they report on them heading out harmlessly into the ocean & that everyone was safe. Except for the poor little island right in it's path!!
