Building on corner of Forest Hill Road & Dunston's Road?

Anyone know what's happening in the vacant shop on corner of Forest Hill Road & Dunston's Road? (the one next to William Hill)

I've noticed what looks like builders in there the past few days. I've had a look on the planning register and can't find anything.

there would only something on the planning register if there was a change of use application. This implies that the new tenants/owners will be running a business in the same category as the previous one. Do you know what was there previously?

No, we moved here about 18 months ago, and it's been vacant the whole time. No remainders of signs on the building, so no clues...

It used to be an Off-licence

It has not been an Off License for at least 15 years.But it has been a total mess for 15 years

I'd say more than 15 years....I've been here for 18 and I'm sure the shop was in that condition when we arrived.

I think there was a post on here about the property being the subject of a bit of a family feud. It is a bit of a state.

I think pretty much all those shops are owned by one family who can't agree on things -- hence the state of the ex Two Trees Coffee place a little bit further up -- also an eyesore.

I remember that it was used as a general pound type store about 10 yrs ago,not for long though. Weren't the floorboards taken up last year causing a flurry of excitement,but then nothing.
