Hi everyone

Just looking for general advice from anyone who has got their son into Dulwich Prep at the 7+ stage- did you do any specific preparation for the assessment (tutor, Kumon, extra parental help etc), what would you say helped/hindered your application and any general advice on the process at all!

I'd also welcome feedback of your experiences of the school. I only know quite boisterous boys who attend and was wondering if this was coincidental or typical of the cohort??

Many thanks

TM

Hi, my son has just got through the 7+ at Dulwich Prep. He wasn?t tutored nor did he do any special classes outside of school. DPL is clearly looking for all-rounders and DS was tested across reading, writing, math, logic, sports and music. Please feel free to PM!

    • Not sure why air quality came into discussion on this thread.  There are a few houses on the opposite side of the road closish to the South Circ (they all have longish front gardens).  The low level blocks of flats are set a fair way from the roads (LL and Dulwich Common).  A few other houses are on the opposite side of the road going towards Forest Hill.  It's not a densely populated area.  As said pollutant emissions from motor vehicle have reduced due to tougher standards, particularly since the VW cheating scandal when test procedures are far closer to the real world and can no longer be got round. The Mayor should also be congratulated for extending the ULEZ.  People tend to think about the outer boroughs but previously the boundary was within the North and South Circs so any old vehicle could use these roads. Anyway, just pointing out.  Not that material for the Grove Tavern.
    • But there are loads of flats next to it, and loads of houses opposite it? What would you call " not many people"?
    • Not 100% sure but I think charity shops do t pay corporation taxes .do t get charged vat on the goods they sell.also get between 60/70% rates reduction not sure about rents.
    • I was sure I had replied to this, but I must have dreamed it! I googled Victus and Bibo and found a reference to them on this  forum from years ago 😮
