Cheer me up, surely I'm not the only one who does illogical things like this:-

- eat some of the baby's food when he's not eating much so it doesn't look as though there's so much left

- quickly palm things I don't want the kids to have, and then leave them lying around to be discovered the next morning

OMG this made me laugh out loud Moos! Madam (8 months old) took to solids brilliantly til about 2 weeks ago when she's started being really fussy. Yesterday, after trying to be calm during teatime, I found myself having a couple of spoonfuls of her tea then looking at the bowl and thinking, 'Oh you managed to eat a fair bit there little one'. WHO AM I KIDDING?!! I did chuckle to myself afterwards but don't feel half so bad now I've just read your post. Thanks, cheered me up no end!

Citizen, that doesn't count, surely that's quite sensible?

KateW, Twosling is also 8 months, took to solids like a little hoover and all of a sudden has started to fuss. I put it down to the hot weather, but maybe the word is out on the baby grapevine. Doesn't seem to have made his sleeping any worse so fingers crossed.

I don't get a chance to get near most food (especially mushrooms and tomberries) with either of our little madams! But I do hide the remains of food that didn't go down too well at the bottom of the bin (ugh soggy) especially if my OH cooked it "mmmm rhubarb and bean risotto went down really well again dear!!"

Hoowever - party bags, we still have some from before Christmas that haven't been consumed - especially parma violets! yuccckkkk!

As for party presents - we eeek these out over months, so that they actually appreciate each one. Think it's darn sensible that one :)

    • Nope that concern predates the Jerk festival.  But I am talking about when I first moved to SE London and some locals complained that the nice music was too loud. Separately some people are still moaning about the Jerk festival,  Felt some comments were (casual) racist, but that is a different subject matter. That day was great,  A victim of its own success. A kin to Fatboy Slim playing a free festival on Brighton beach, tens of thousands went but it took a long long time to clean up.
