Seasonal Dyeing with local plants on silk and wool

Join me for a series of workshops on dyeing with local plants through the seasons. We will explore how to successfully dye with plant-based materials that can be gathered locally through the seasons. We will cover such things as how to prepare fibres for dying, modifying colours and how to gather and store materials for dying. We'll be dyeing with leaves, flowers and roots so there'll be plenty of exposure to different methods of extracting dye.

Everyone will receive samples of wool that we've dyed in the workshop and there'll be the opportunity to buy silk scarves that can be dyed in the workshop and taken home.

Each session is 2 hours long and you can sign up for one session or for all. Each workshop is ?40, ?140 if you book all four in advance.

Friday 2 March 13:30 - 15:30: Introduction to dyeing and dyeing with winter plants

    • Have you a more appropriate nomenclature for those predators?
    • The phone number seems to be that used by several  London boroughs for PayByPhone contact( though, probably incidentally,  different from the one give for phone bookings on the company's own website).  They also say, at https://support.paybyphone.com/hc/en-001/articles/11574881494545-Is-PayByPhone-free: "PayByPhoneParking rates are set by the parking operator and should match the cost of paying at a traditional meter. However, some locations may add a small service fee, typically less than $0.50 (USD) or £0.35 (GBP), which is determined by the parking authority." There's nothing on the signage pictured to imply  that the motorist is contracting with the council to pay any service fee for a stay up to 30 minutes.  I suggest someone asks a councillor, to check what Southwark have to say  and report back.
    • Not to be too gloomy but the SRA are pretty hopeless.  They seem to spend loads of resource hammering easy minor negligence cases relative to serious difficult cases like fraud.  The SRA is itself under investigation: https://legalservicesboard.org.uk/news/enforcement-action-begun-against-sra-following-axiom-ince-review
