Meditation class this Saturday at Dulwich Library

Recommended Posts

Dulwich Library Saturday 3 Feb 10am to 1pm (with midway break)

So far over 30 people have booked a place, so we are hoping for a great gathering of local people interested in meditation. It's free of charge too.

We are a group of experienced meditators who have set up an educational charity and run free classes and courses in London. We will be running a class at Dulwich Library for the first time. Interested? Come along and find out more.

We will look at the benefits of meditation, the method, how meditation works, the mind, brain and consciousness, how meditation helps concentration, helps us live a less stressed life and the spiritual aspect of meditation.

There will be chances to practice the method and ask questions.

If you would like to bring a friend or two, that's fine - there should be plenty of room, just let us know.

Please ask if you have any questions.

To read more and book, visit: jangama.org or phone Michael on 07900 217093, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.

By the way, don't worry, we will have a break in the middle!

Thanks

Michael

Just to add (because someone asked)

There is no need to wear any particular clothing, something comfortable and some warmer clothing in case it is a bit cool in the room. We will just be sitting still.

There will be a break of about 30 minutes in the middle so people can get a drink, a short walk, breathe of fresh air, etc before resuming, so roughly two 75 minute sessions with a half hour break in the middle.

This is suitable for everyone, those who have never meditated to those who have meditated for many years and want to know more.

There will be several meditation sessions, but quite short, just to practice the technique.

Any other questions, please ask.

Thanks

Michael

    • All the parents looking after their kids instead of skiving from their meaningless desk jobs might mean it's quieter on here. Still, at least it gives free rein to the bad-tempered, long-winded pensioners that begin their posts "having resided in Dulwich for a not inconsiderable number of decades, may I be so bold as to suggest..." 😉

    • We have been patients at Sternhall Lane for years. Our experience has generally been incredibly positive with speedy responses and very helpful staff. We are generally fortunate to get a same day appointment should we really need one either at Sternhall Lane or at Tessa Jowell and any necessary referalls have been swift.
    • @Alice if left might have been stolen/taken by someone (peed on by a dog or fox), also there are some little things attached of - I assume - sentimental value. I hope the owner can claim them. Will leave a note indeed with info how to retrieve them, though not with a private phone number in a public space 😅 Maybe a friend of a friend will come across this post on EDF.  @embob97 They do have a ring, sorry.
