cine film and cine projectors

Does anyone have any knowledge about cine film and cine projectors? My Mum has some cine film from the 1960s and a cine projector which no longer has a belt. So I just wondered if anyone knows how we can convert the cine film into something we can use. Or where we could buy a replacement belt for the projector. Many thanks for any advice.
