Tarot
There are two lime green long tailed parrots flying around the North cross road area, very noisy birds. Did hear a while back that there were some peregrine Falcons nesting in London. We did have a Heron land in the garden once,it looked very tired and suddenly every local bird it seemed flew down and attacked it,causing it to fly off,at least it had a drink. The largest bird I saw was a giant eagle owl, a man had on a chain in LL Lane, beautiful creature. Not sure of the exact species but we were told it was the largest owl in the world. It certainly looks extremely big compared to the tree :))Very sad to hear of a wild bird chained up in Lordship Lane, though. Tarot
Well Sue I dont think it was actually chained up. maybe some leather thong type leash on the mans arm, he drew quite a crowd opposite the old co-op place. It was a very large bird, around three feet high, the most lovely fawny colours possible perhaps other people remember it.I wished i,d had my camera at the time.Maybe he visited a school in the area with his owl.Talking of owls ,are there any to be seen in E.D.
