Tea
Happy New Year all! I have a 5-year-old in reception and would like to do some extra reading, writing and numeracy activities at home. I've heard of 'school run', 'twinkl' and TES but are there any other apps and/or sites I can access/subscribe to for online activities/printable resources? Please help, I'm not very creative when it comes to making resources for little ones! Many thanks, Tea. midivydale
We have used phonicsplay ALOT especially in reception on the advice of ds?s reception teacher. It really helped with his blending. It is divided according to the phonics level they are at at school so it is well synchronised. It helped massively with his blending. I also got handwriting sheets from the school run which were useful. Now in year1 there is mathletics which he loves and also gonoodle which is more of a mindfulness and movement app. I have found phonicsplay a godsend, my son was a reluctant reader last year and this has helped him overcome some huge hurdles and he loves reading now. edanna
Teach your monster to read is brilliant and free (on the site but you pay for an app). https://www.teachyourmonstertoread.comMystery math Town is also great. You can set the level of difficulty: https://artgigapps.com/apps/mystery-math-town Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/180862-educational-resourcesapps-for-reception-and-up/#findComment-1216102 Share on other sites
