Montessori trained nanny available

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am currently looking for a part time nanny position. I hold a level four qualification in Montessori pedagogy with experience working both in a nursery setting and as a private nanny.

I am able to commit to between 16-20 hours a week although I have some flexibility about which days I am available.

I am thirty years old and based in Deptford although am happy to commute for work either by bicycle or public transport.

The Montessori philosophy focuses on 'following the child', observing what fascinates them and working to create a stimulating environment of discovery. For younger children much of the Montessori activities develop a child's functional independence, which in turn develops their confidence and self-esteem, furthering bolstering learning.

My educational background in Fine Art leaves me well placed to provide creative activities whilst my experience managing a Bed and Breakfast has more than qualified me for the clean up! I am a confident cook and am happy to prepare fresh, healthy meals for the children in my care (including vegetarian or vegan cooking if required) as well as undertaking light housekeeping duties.

I have experience of baby-led weaning and various toilet-training methods and enjoy working in partnership with parents to provide the unique care each child requires.

I view working with young children as my calling and am currently in my third year of an Early Years Theory degree.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions, I look forward to hearing from you.

    • Hi my names milly, I’m in year 11 of school, I live in the forest hill area and am looking to do some babysitting jobs. I’m a good cook, i’m good with kids and i’ll most likely be studying, when i’m not tending to the kids, as i am nearing my GCSE’s. Message me if you’re interested and we can discuss further. x

    • How mean-minded to call the creative project of a group of enterprising youngsters, using their time productively 'foul'?  Surely taking the initiative to set this u,p so young people can be outside and exercising is a positive and productive thing to be admired? 'Underage drinking and drugs' are more likely to happen when young people have nowhere to go and nothing to do (plus they can take place anywhere!) . How is a derelict pub better?
    • Please dont redevelop....the skatepark is a  rare place where young kids can chat, connect, and do something outside of the addictive but dull world of the internet. Community is one of our most precious parts of life.
