To let double room in garden flat, East Dulwich/Peckham

A light filled room available until the end of July in a two bedroom garden flat in East Dulwich, a minute walk from Peckham Rye Common.

The room is neutrally decorated, and has a comfortable king-sized bed and large wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers and mirror. It faces onto the garden and is wonderfully quiet.

The flat itself is lower ground floor (in a Victorian conversion) with its own front door and unusually large private back garden, and has a comfortable, good sized living / dining room and a fully equipped kitchen (with washing machine and dishwasher).

The rent ?700, includes wifi, Netflix, all household bills and a once a week visit from a cleaner.

The flat is in a great location, a minute away not only from the common, but also a co-op, an Italian restaurant, French cafe and very good pub. There are excellent bus links south to Crystal Palace (15 mins), or north to Peckham Rye (5 mins), Elephant and Castle, Southwark, the Southbank and Kings Cross (AKA the Route 63 bus). Lordship Lane is 15 min stroll away, and Peckham's Bellenden Road and Nunhead are about the same distance. Cyclists are very welcome - the hallway is large enough to keep a bicycle in and the local cycle routes into central London are pretty good.

This is a comfortable two bedroom flat for people wanting to live in a nice, calm, clean home.

You will be sharing the flat with me Andy, a 40 year old professional. I'm looking for a relaxed house mate, who is clean and tidy, happy to socialise and respectful of others. I will consider a couple but would have to negotiate the rent for two people.

The room is available now until the end of July, I am also happy to consider a shorter stay, if you were looking for a place for 3-4 months.

The deposit ?500 will be held in a tenancy deposit scheme until the end of the tenancy.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    • We had a meter installed last year. This wasn't requested and I assumed they would fit them for everyone on our road. However, it appears not everyone has a meter. Our bills have increased so I wanted advice. Everything I've read online suggests TW are legally entitled to fit water meters. However, surely they have to do this fairly and for all residents on one road, working through the area? Can't believe our bills are going to increase so astronomically. Surely this is penalising families or larger households.
    • Hello,   am seeking a service whereby someone provides home cooked meals and preps food for a period of time. This will be a paid position many thanks,
    • A random post, but I was just wondering if anyone was friends with my late father Mr David Bryan? I had a pretty broken relationship with him, but I would love to connect with any of his former friends. He lived on Waldram Park Road, Forest Hill for many years, but also used to live in East Dulwich on/off in the late 90s. He used to use the bookies/betting shops in Forest Hill quite a lot. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly in September 2015 but I hadn't seen him for several years prior to his death.
    • Thank you, that's what the bus driver said when I handed it to him. It is how I was raised.
