Loz
Does anyone know where the main water stopcock is in their house? I've been in my house over 10 years and never found it. The only one I can locate is the one buried in the driveway that you need one of those long wrench keys to use.I assume all these house layouts are roughly the same, so any help will be much appreciated. Laddy Muck
Mine is somewhere out in the street (outside house below pavement). Yours probably is too. Prude Law
We've got a stop cock inside the house that cuts off the water. Ours is on the far right hand side under our kitchen sink unit. With the original kitchen cupboards there was a small panel in them that I had to screw off to get at it. When I replaced the kitchen I left it exposed in the new cupboards so it's easier to get at. Bookworm
Do you know if you are in a Wimpey or a Beazer House (ones with the white doors)? If it is a Beazer House, you can turn the water off under the sink and it is accessible. lpool
Ours was a Wimpey and like Prude Law, located in the kitchen under the sink unit. Alex K
Echo lpool: Inside the house, under the sink in the kitchen. Our kitchen faces onto Abbotswood Road. Some houses have their kitchens at the rear. Perhaps a different arrangement there... Loz
Had a look - can't see it still. Can't find a panel, either. Mine is a rear facing kitchen.
